No wheel wells to hide the tires in, good.

It is.
I think stance to the guys over there doesn't always mean slammed/bagged/whatever. They feature a lot of just beautiful cars; they seem to focus on fit/finish/uniqueness more than just what most people would think of as "stanced" cars.

Very cool little pickup. The 33-34 dodge pickups look great with all of their fenders and unique grill. Really the 32 ford grill is the only thing that doesn't jive with me because I see it soo often.

Reading through stanceworks build threads has become an addiction.. They have some real enthusiasts, stance isn't as bad as it's made out to be.

I agree. The term "stance" in itself doesn't imply "low". A lifted truck on mud tires could have "stance", it just means particular attention was lavished on how the vehicle sits on the road. Which is great. Cars have a fundamental relationship to the surface they're sitting/riding on, and that relationship is a good thing to focus on. Automotive designers work on their cars' stance implicitly; it's an important part of a car's visual impact. Granted, many people on those stanceworks forums are just trying to slam the car as low to the ground as possible, but that's just part of the story. Many inspiration images on stanceworks are of racecars, and those tend to be as low to the ground as possible while remaining functional....I lost my train of thought. My point is that "stance" is a broad term, and a good one. That hot rod has great stance.

I agree: needs more '35 Hupmobile if going for a different grill.

Or 36 Packard.

I dunno, the Packard's grill top/hood relief line really cries out to be carried into the body, and that might have made for an awkward change to the existing firewall area.

Good point. I just love those late 30's Packards. They just reek beauty and class.
